Kayla Adamek

Kayla Joan Zophia Adamek (born February 1, 1995) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Spanish side UDG Tenerife.
College Career
Adamek attended the University of Central Florida from 2013-2017, redshirting her sophomore year due to an ACL injury. Over her four years of play at UCF Adamek scored 26 goals, provided 13 assists in 77 games. She made the AAC All-Rookie team her freshman year and AAC First Team her Redshirt Sophomore and Senior Year. In her redshirt senior year Adamek captained the UCF Knights to a 16 game unbeaten streak that placed them as a No. 2 seed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
Club Career
Orlando Pride
After playing college soccer with UCF Knights, Adamek went undrafted in the 2018 NWSL College Draft joined Orlando Pride in 2018. She was however added to the Orlando Pride roster as a Non-Roster Invitee ahead of the 2018 season.
ŽFK Spartak Subotica
After one season in the NWSL, Adamek signed with club ŽFK Spartak Subotica. Adamek stated that her move to Europe was inspired by Ali Krueger's similar move early in her career. Adamek started every game in the 2019-20 UEFA Women's Champions League qualifying round, scoring 5 goals and 4 assists.

UD Granadilla Tenerife
On December 26, Adamek was signed by Spanish Primera División team UD Granadilla Tenerife.
Personal life
Adamek was born in Ottawa, Ontario to a sporting family, her father was a tennis player and her mother played basketball. Adamek played collegiate soccer for the UCF Knights, where she was known for her leadership and resiliency.
