Kathleen H. Meehan (born c. 1955) is the former Republican mayor of Melbourne, Florida. She is the first female mayor of Melbourne. She is employed as a Sales Representative with Meehan’s Office Products and has also worked as a Case Manager with Community Care for the Elderly. She is the daughter of Merril Harding Lunn and his wife Joyce.<ref name"os-obit"/> She became a naturalized American citizen in 1967.<ref name"mayor"/> She moved to Melbourne in 1979.<ref name="mayor"/> Prior to her terms on the City Council, Meehan had been a member of the Melbourne Planning and Zoning Board.<ref name="apb"/> Meehan served two terms as the council member from District 3,<ref name"mayor"/> and served as vice mayor of Melbourne in 2007 and 2010.<ref name"mayor"/> Meehan was President of the Board of Directors of the Space Coast League of Cities for the 2009-2010 term.<ref name="mayor"/> Association leadership * Board member (1987-1991), Melbourne Downtown Progress Association<ref name="apb"/> * Member (1993-1998), Melbourne Police Community Relations Council<ref name="apb"/> * Coordinator (1993-2000), Melbourne Riverview Crime Watch<ref name="apb"/>
