Katelyn Clampett

Katelyn Clampett is an American singer, songwriter, and occasional model who achieved fame by posting her songs on internet sites such as Myspace and Youtube.
Personal Life
Clampett was raised in Cary, North Carolina and attended in Raleigh. She is the daughter of former professional golfer Bobby Clampett. As a child Clampett was involved in talent agencies for acting , singing, dancing, and modeling. She also sang in her church choir and music groups.
Music
Clampett recieved a vocal scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. She later auditioned for "Belle" in Sleeping Beauty for Disney World in Orlando, Florida. In 2007, she landed a gig as the lead singer of the "Soda Pops" band at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania. That fall she returned to Boston to be the lead singer and keyboardist for the cover band "Spike the Punch". In 2008 she was nominated and performed in the "Vocal Styles Concert". Her upcoming EP, titled "Katelyn Clampett", will be released on iTunes in March 2009. Also in March, music from her new EP will be debuted on the Golf Channel for the nationwide tour coverage.
Songwriting
Clampett writes the lyrics to all her songs, as well as for some other people. In 2007 she single-handedly wrote the theme song to a CBS show "From Fairways to Airways". She has also been writing for Shadow Mountain Music, publishing in Nashville. Clampett was also the winner of "Performer/Songwriter Contest 2008" and the "Songwriting Competition 2008".
