Karina Marczuk

Dr Karina Marczuk, PhD is former Deputy Director of the Office of the Secretary of the State - National Security Bureau, Poland (2004-2007); guest - lecturer at University of Warsaw, member of The International Network to Promote the Rule of Law (INPROL).
Her areas of interests are security issues (especially homeland security), Mediterranean countries' security systems and Euro-Atlantic connections on security field.
Marczuk is exploring constabulary forces (police forces with military status) in such countries as France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Romania, and Turkey.
In 2005 she attended as a fellow to General Command of the Italian Carabineers in Rome. In 2006, she initiated bilateral relations between Poland and Romanian Gendarmerie Forces.
She is an author of many publications, devoted to modern security studies, constabulary forces, external military operations, international terrorism and using of constabulary forces during peace-keeping missions. In her studies, Marczuk connects historical background and modern knowledge, using both European and American approaches.
