The Kalusha Foundation was registered in June 2003 by football legend Kalusha Bwalya as a platform for contributing to the development of football in Zambia and also to give back to the local communities and youth of Zambia. Being an advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness the Foundation was established as a channel for HIV/AIDS Life Skills Education in underprivileged communities of Zambia. Vision Statement ‘A healthy body a healthy future’ The Kalusha Foundation hopes to contribute to the development of a youth population that engages in football as a healthy recreational activity to prevent involvement in substance abuse, early sexual interaction and other activities that place them at risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS. Mission To promote youth football, healthy life styles and HIV/AIDS awareness among youths using football Organisational Objectives The Kalusha Foundation objectives include; #To develop youth football at community level #To raise HIV/AIDS awareness and to promote health education #To promote football as a form of recreation #To organize sports activities for children in underprivileged communities
