Kalki Avatar and Muhammad (book)

Kalki Avatar and Muhammad Sahib () is a 1960 book written by Indian sanskrit scholar Ved Prakash Upaddhay, an Indian educator and former Sanskrit professor of Punjab University, who won the Indian President Award in 2018. The book was published by Saraswat Vedant Prakash Sanggha. It was his first book of religious unity trilogy, the other twos are Narashshangsha and Antim Rishi and The light of religious Unity according to Vedas and Puranas. The main aspect of the book is showing the similarities between Islamic prophet Muhammad and Hinduism's major deity Vishnu's last avatar Kalki according to Islamic and Hindu religious texts.
Similarities shown on the book
It has been claimed that the age of Kali Yuga refers to the Islamic Golden Age. Some of the claimed similarites shown on the book are:
* The name of the Kalki will be Narashangsha, which means praised human, the meaning of the name Muhammad is also praised man.
* Kalki will born on 12th day of Madhu month, the first month of the hindu lunar year, Muhammad similarly born on the 12th day on Rabiul Awal, the third month of the Arabic lunar year. Kalki will born on Shambhala village, which means a land filled with date trees, Makkah is Muhammad's birth place filled with date trees.
* Kalki's father's and Mother's name will be Vishnuyash and Sumati, which means slave of God and peaceful lady. Muhammad's father's and mother's name are Abdullah and Amina, which also mean slave of God and peaceful lady.
* Kalki rides on flying horse to destroy the evil, Muhammad also rode flying horse and destroyed evil.
* Kalki will receive messages from a mount (Jabal al-Nour)
* Kalki's followers will be known as Musalays (Muslims)
* Kalki's followers will be omnivorous
* Kalki's followers will be circumcised
* Kalki's followers will have beards and call people for the prayer (Adhan)
