K.D Pathak is the main protagonist of the Sony Entertainment Television courtroom drama, Adaalat and is portrayed by the Indian actor, Ronit Roy. K.D is an Advocate and is always the defense lawyer in the drama.
Throughout the series of Adaalat the full name of K.D Pathak has been kept as a suspense. K.D.Pathak has been asked multiple times about his full name, but, K.D. has politely denied to answer it every time. In one episode, he falsely reveals his name as Karan Divakar to a criminal to elicit information from him. In the climax of the same episode, he whispers his name to the same person since he (the criminal) is about to die. His college friend, Vishwajeet Ranawat knows his full name but has promised him not to reveal it. The viewers thus still do not know his real name.
