K-1 Belarus Grand Prix 2000, also known as the K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 Europe and the Russian Area D Preliminary was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was a preliminary qualifying tournament for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2000, involving eight fighters based around Eastern Europe and Russia, with all bouts being fought under K-1 Rules (100 kg/156-220 lbs). As well as tournament bouts there was also a IMTF European Title fight between local favourite Sergei Gur and Russian Wahid Vueneki, fought under Thai Rules. In total there were ten fighters at the event, representing four countries. The tournament winner was Alexey Ignashov who beat Sergey Arhipov in the final by third round technical knockout. As a result of his victory, Alexey Ignashov would qualify for the K-1 World Grand Prix 2000 in Yokohama. The event was held in Minsk, Belarus on Friday, June 24, 2000.
