Jyoti Tripathi

Jyoti Tripathi (born 30 August 1996) is an Indian actress and poet who works in Hindi films.
Jyoti, the daughter of Prem Kumar Tripathi and Maya Tripathi, was born and raised in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. As a teenager, she started participating in Kavi Sammelan and Mushaira all across India. She received offer for Hindi film Bhootaha and made her acting debut with Bhootaha in 2020 as the only actor in the film. The film holds the record of the first ever film with only one character. The film was released on Movies App.
Career
Jyoti Tripathi started her career as a poet. As per an interview given to the magazine Saras Salil, Jyoti Tripathi completed her Graduation from the University of Allahabad and Post Graduation from the University of Mumbai. Jyoti Tripathi has also authored a poetry collection Palkon Me Aakash, published by Amazon.
Jyoti Tripathi acted in a Bollywood film Bhootaha. This film carried a single character and Jyoti Tripathi was the only character who worked in the film. This is claimed to be the first single character film in the world. Jyoti struggled for 5 years in the city of Mumbai to debut in a Bollywood film. The film Bhootaha was released on November 9, 2020 in parallel with Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmi. This was a horror movie, which narrates the story of a girl stuck in her office and paranormal activities start there.
