Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance

The Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance (JDCA) is a privately funded non-profit charitable organization dedicated to achieving a practical cure for type 1 diabetes in the foreseeable future.
Services
The JDCA provides two free services to the type 1 community. The organization regularly publishes a series of research and analysis reports on topics related to cure progress, and it also provides an advisory service to donors who want transparency into how their gift is being used. The JDCA monitors the use of funds of organizations including the JDRF, American Diabetes Association, Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and Joslin Diabetes Center.
The JDCA caters to a community of 16,000 donors and is independent from the organizations it covers.
History
The JDCA was founded in 2011 by former Activision Blizzard president and current board co-chairman Brian G. Kelly after his son, Tommy, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of two. The JDCA seeks to apply the best practices of the business world to type 1 diabetes non-profit organizations. The JDCA is based in New York City.
Mission
The JDCA’s mission is to achieve a type 1 diabetes practical cure before 2025 by steering donor contributions to the most effective charities.
