Justin Slosky (born June 18, 1981) is an American film director, screenwriter, and occasional actor. He is the director of Memories of My Melancholy Copy Machine, co-founded the Ivy Film Festival, and is currently attending USC School of Cinematic Arts. Biography Personal life Slosky was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and now lives in Los Angeles Career Slosky studied Art Semiotics at Brown University. He co-founded the Ivy Film Festival with David Peck to create a venue to showcase the efforts of fellow student filmmakers. The event, run entirely by students, has continued to grow after he graduated in 2003 and is now one of the largest student film festivals in the US . After college, Slosky held a variety of odd jobs not related to film, but he continued to explore film in several side projects. His most successful project during this period is Memories of My Melancholy Copy Machine, which won the Bonehead Award for Best Micro Comedy in 2008. The movie debuted at the LA Shorts Fest in September 2007In the movie, he had a cameo appearence as Jaime, the Delivery Man. The movie can be viewed online in iPod format. During this time, Slosky also had minor roles in Defying Gravity (2008) and Crackpot (2006). Slosky now attends USC School of Cinematic Arts as a member of the class of 2010.
