Then as "Jules Botfield", she became the drive time presenter Greater London Radio. She moved to BBC Breakfast programme in May 2002, also reporting for the BBC News. In 2004 George reported from Grenada after hurricane Ivan struck the island. Since May/June 2010 she has been the presenter of the south east part of the BBC Politics Show. Since this career development Julia's interview technique has progressed to an indignant second tier version of Jeremy Paxman as is the current fashion within the BBC. Whereby, instead of engaging in constructive communication; the interviewer chooses to interrupt, lambast, and lampoon the interviewee seemingly with the intention or desired effect of wallowing in their own pride and self importance. Julia was co-presenter of the John and Jules show on BBC Radio Kent working alongside John Warnett prior to getting her own show Kent Midmorning covering the times slots 09:00 till 12:00.
