Jules Moretti was born and raised in Paris where, at the age of 8, he learned the piano for 2 years, before being sent to UK, aged 11, to pursue his education and obtain A Levels.
Jules made his DJ debut back in 2004 whilst in his first year at Edinburgh University (Scotland, UK), studying Mechanical Engineering. It was during his gap year that he taught and trained himself to DJ, restricted to the confines of his bedroom no less, when he began building a vynil collection of French Electo House music.
From there, he quickly moved to play in the No. 1 student nightclub in Edinburgh, Why Not?, only weeks after he was settled in his Halls of Residence. Since then, Jules has played in a number of difference nightclubs and bars, increasing his vynil collection so greatly that he had to move to a different media - CDs.
Jules started organising club nights at different venues in Edinburgh, alongside his ongoing studies. In 2005 Jules introduced www.julesmoretti.com and in April 2006 he started his Podcast, which currently holds 55 feeds in M4B (iTunes - Enhanced versions) and MP3 (Universal version).
Podcast
Introduced in April 2006, Jules's Podcasts started as a means of recording his home mixes to share amongst his friends. Yet being so passionate, he released podcasts more and more often, and compiled them by recording, editing and including track listings and graphic images. Furthermore, being an admirer of DJ / Composer / Producer Joachim Garraud, Jules entered a Space Podcast competition where selected DJs would be included in a new podcast in June 2006, and Jules was lucky enough to have his 1 hour mix diffused globally on a top a listed top 100 iTunes podcast back in 2006.
Having a lot of podcasts in 2007, Jules changed website hosts and now has increased listeners from all around the world.
According to UK ranking system in April 2008, only two years after its publication, Jules's website featured in the top 100,000.
Bootlegs
Jules, getting more and more intrigued by the digital side of music, has invested in equipment such as Protools and Ableton Live; and as his podcasts grew, Jules started editing famous tracks and releasing his very own , counting more than a dozen so far.
