Jubayer Salehin

Jubayer Salehin is a major general in the Bangladesh Army and incumbent Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC). Prior to Join DSCSC, Salehin commanded 17 Infantry Division as its General Officer Commanding and, served Sylhet Area as its Area Commander.
Career
Salehin got commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of Bangladesh Army on 23rd December 1988 with 19th Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) Long Course. He was a Platoon Commander in Bangladesh Military Academy. He was a Brigade Major in an Engineer Brigade. He was a faculty member in School of Infantry and Tactics, and also in the Defense Services Command and Staff College of Bangladesh. He served as reconnaissance officer, platoon commander, adjutant, planning officer, company commander, and Second in Command in Engineer Units. He was a lead member of Bangladesh Engineer Contingent in Kuwait for clearance of explosive ordnance devices after the 1st Gulf War. He commanded Engineer Units twice in Bangladesh and once in United Nations Mission in South Sudan. As a Brigadier General, he commanded an Engineer Construction Brigade involved in National Infrastructure Development and, an Infantry Brigade deployed in counter insurgency role in Chittagong Hill Tracts. He also served as the Chief Engineer of Dhaka City Corporation. He is the current governing body member of National Defence College and Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre. On 24 Aug 2021, He lead a delegation for a joint warefare workshop has been conduct with Srilankan Army. He later met with Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Sri Lanka Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and Commandant DSCSC, Srilanka Major General IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc.
Personal life
Jubayer Salehin is happily married to Samia dewan. He is a father of two daughters. Salehin's father, Professor Ansar Ali was the principal of Chuadanga Government College and Darsana Govt. College.
