Joswell Valdez is a Dominican American businessman and a mobile application programmer. Valdez is also the founder of Izzy Health a telemedicine App focus in providing accessible and affordable high quality healthcare in developing countries and founder of PocketSpace, a digital agency based in New York City. Early life and entrepreneurship Joswell Valdez was born on 5 January 1987 in Bronx, New York. Although his parents came to the US during their teenage years, they lived in between the US and the Dominican Republic as kids. He attended the Bronx community college, but later dropped to pursue what he loved most, entrepreneurship. As a self-made entrepreneur, Valdez was inspired by the digital revolution. His interest in Entrepreneurship began when he was only seventeen years old through entrepreneurial mentorship he got from his father. His first project was the "Street Bangaz" documentary at the age of 18. According to a New York Biz article, Valdez is among the very few young people who have embraced the immense business opportunities that technology presents. The Street Bangaz documentary featured renowned music artists such as Method Man, Redman, Jim Jones, Black Child, Ice Cube, Immortal Technique, Max B and many more. Because of entrepreneurial skills, Street Bangaz was released in 2008 and sold 100,000 copies through outlets such as Best Buy, Target, and Virgin Megastores. Career Although his has been part of many entrepreneurial projects, recent projects include IZZY Health (Jan 2018 - Present) and PocketSpace (Dec 2014 - Present). IZZY Health A digital healthcare startup focus in providing high quality healthcare in developing countries. IZZY Health is a web app where individuals can have unlimited message consultations with their own dedicated care team, which consists of a family medicine physician, a psychologist, and a nutritionist. Providing access to affordable and personalized healthcare globally is our mission with the help of AI. The product is available for markets in Latin America, Africa, and South East Asia. PocketSpace (Dec 2014 - Present) Valdez is also a Senior Application Development Specialist and Founder of PocketSpace. Over the years, he has been active in the provision of a top-notch app development, mobile marketing, as well as consulting services.
