Joshua Goldberg

Joshua Goldberg (May 8,1967 - February 10, 2011) was an American website editor as well as the 2009 Republican nominee for the New York City Council seat representing district number six on Manhattan's Upper West Side.<ref name="american thinker"/> Although he lost the election to the current democratic incumbent Gale Brewer, in doing so he came closer to winning the seat than other Republican candidates in recent history.<ref name="american thinker"/>
Goldberg was a member of a prominent New York City neo-conservative family. His mother, Lucianne Goldberg is the author, political commentator and literary agent who helped bring the Monica Lewinsky scandal to light, and his late father Sid was a newspaper executive. His brother, Jonah Goldberg, is a National Review columnist, New York Times best-selling author and political pundit.
Goldberg held many jobs over the years, including New York City tour guide, staffer with the New York Post's notorious Page Six gossip page, and a position "behind enemy lines" at NBC News.<ref name="eulogy"/> In his later years, he worked mainly behind the scenes as the editor of his mother's widely read blog Lucianne.com, and two blogs he created, Blogs Lucianne Loves, and The Connection<ref name="american thinker"/><ref name="nro"/>
Goldberg died on February 10, 2011 of injuries sustained in a fall. He was 43 and is survived by his mother, brother and wife, Chantal.
