Joshua Donaldson

Joshua Donaldson (born 4 May 1991), is an Australian rules footballer, currently rookie-listed at the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League. A tall, athletic player, Donaldson spent most of his formative years as a ruckman, but can also play as a second or third tall forward or defender. He played junior football at the Ocean Ridge Junior Football Club, before playing Colts football at the West Perth Football Club. In 2009, he played with the Falcons colts, impressing sufficiently to be named on the interchange bench in the WAFL Colts Team of the Year. He also represented the victorious Western Australian team in the 2009 AFL National Under 18 Championships. Donaldson was drafted by the Carlton Football Club with its fifth round selection in the 2010 AFL Rookie Draft (#66 overall) . He began the 2010 season playing reserves for the club's VFL-affiliate, the Northern Bullants. |
