Joseph Miranda

Joseph "Joe" Miranda (born 1925) is a Caporegime with the DeCavalcante crime family who runs a crew based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Miranda replaced Girolamo Palermo as family acting underboss.

Serving as a made man under both and during the 1960s and mid 1970s, Miranda was recognized as the acting underboss for after Palermo's incarceration in 2003. According to law enforcement, Miranda is recognized as a "senior advisor" and still reportedly holds the rank of Underboss, while Palermo is incarcerated. As of December 2007, Joseph Miranda, who's at the age of 85, is still operating out of the Elizabeth faction. According to US law enforcement, Miranda and Frank Guarraci are in charge as bosses of the family.
