John "Johnny Hooks" Capra (born April 6, 1940) is a New York mobster who is a capo with the Lucchese crime family.
Capra was born in The Bronx to first generation immigrants from Vicenza, Italy. According to the government, Capra has operated as part of the Bronx faction of the Lucchese crime family since the late 1980s. Capra is said to lead a faction that operates large illegal gambling, extortion, loansharking and fraud operations in Manhattan and the Bronx. Capra is also alleged to have participated in racketeering activities with Lucchese acting boss . Capra also participated in a $20 million-dollar-a-year illegal gambling operation with Gambino crime family mobster Arnold Squitieri.
