</ref> A member of the Socialists' Party of Galicia, he served as Mayor of Laxe from 2015 to 2019. Biography Mouzo began working in the transportation sector before entering politics. In 1983, he joined the Galician Left and in 1993, he joined the Socialists' Party of Galicia. He was elected to the Municipal Council of Laxe in . He ran for Mayor in when retired. He became Mayor thanks to support from the Galician Nationalist Bloc. Although he was defeated in , he continued to be a socialist spokesman until his death. José Manuel Mouzo died on 16 May 2021 at the age of 54. |
