Jorge Rocchi

Jorge Daniel Rocchi (born September 3, 1952) is an Argentine architect and urban planner, known for designing some of the most significant buildings and other main works in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and Provincial Region of Buenos Aires. Known for Specktra Megadisco the largest nightclub in the region, located in the city of Pergamino and Cascanueces Discotheque (Nutcracker Discotheque) located in Los Toldos.
Specktra Mega Disco
It the inauguration of in 1985 , was the most important city in the region of Buenos Aires icon. During the 1990s the busiest nightclub was this. The author of this great building project a versatile, rationalist prismatic volume and hi-tech details. It is a concrete structure triangularly concatenated together, reflective glass, steel and metal. It composed of three dance floors, a large central dance track, a danceable courtyard, a pool (which operated in the summer) and a radio.
The first stage was inaugurated in 1985 the facade of the two triangles, then in 1993 it opened the second stage extended the disco placing three giant spiral ramps fastened the three previous levels, surrounding a big stage. Modifications and renovations had regarding the restoration of the green open spaces of the courtyard. A third part called PUEBLA It opened, a big metallic tent cover with triangular columns, a tower of DJs with a circle steel compact disc and bridges on small lakes.
The commercial life of hard building until 2006; the following years was constantly changing owners and only worked for individuals, private or in the New Year's Eve events.
Specktra "A true giant in the world of the night, with marked electronic tradition offers space for more than 7000 people (that is one of the greatest nightclubs in South America)". This building was the first nightclub in Argentina, with Rocket Disco in Bariloche, to have a LOBBO Laser Show brought from Germany.
Cascanueces Mega Disco
It is a club located on the main avenue of San Martin in Los Toldos, with a futuristic innovation nightclub. Its opening was in 1994 .
Cascanueces Mega Disco (Nutcracker Club) was an advanced design for the generation of multiple spaces with different musical typologies in one area.
Very expressive brutalist building a reference lighthouse city for the entire region . Designed with spaces for elevators and a large covered glazed in conical shape, with capacity para 3500 characters . It is one of the most emblematic clubs of the province of Buenos Aires. A true music coliseum.
