Jordan Balagot

Jordan Balagot (born 6 August 1981) is a film composer and producer based in Los Angeles.
Background
A native of Chicago, Balagot attended Francis W. Parker School, and earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 2003. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2009 with an MFA in Music Composition for the Screen.
In 2009 Balagot moved to Los Angeles and began work with film composers Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil as a music arranger and orchestrator, orchestrating for the films (2010), (2010), and Devil's Kickers (2010). In 2011, she co-composed the score to 6 Days on Earth with them.
Balagot is an outspoken transgender activist and has been featured on Engadget, Create Digital Music and Hack A Day for her work creating MIDI drum sets out of Rock Band and Guitar Hero game controllers.
Balagot also produces under the name Jordan B, and has scored music for the Target commercial The Public Bathroom Door, orchestrated for the band Dirty Vegas (), and collaborated with the band Suspicious Package on an upcoming music video.
