</noinclude> Jordan Alexander-Riley (born 30th June, 1992 Manchester, England) is a British actor. His father is German-English and his mother American-English. A native of Manchester, he has played numerous parts in UK Soaps. Prior to gaining some roles in TV Programs such as BBC's Waterloo Road, ITV's Coronation Street, drama series called The Street, he is a student at the Manchester School of Acting where he has been attending for the last 4 years. Riley also has a younger brother called Jason Michael Riley born 2004. He is also good friends with a numerous TV stars who include fellow Waterloo Road co-stars William Rush, Lucien Laviscount, Holly Jo-Kenny, ITV's Coronation Street, Brooke Vincent who plays Sophie Webster and Sacha Parkinson who plays Sophie's best friend Sian Powers, Debbie Rush who plays Anna Windass, plus Channel 4, Hollyoaks, Alice Barlow who plays Rae and newcomer Seth Costello played by Miles Higson. He got himself an audition which he heard about and went down to the audition in Manchester, United Kingdom and was offered the part there and then. In March 2010 the new short gritty film was accepted into the Wood Green Film Festival, London, United Kingdom. The short film is about a mother quietly struggles to deal with her aggressive teenage son (Ben) who refuses to do anything except play online computer games. An honest and darkly comic story about compulsion, mishaps, loneliness and family redemption produced by Daniel P.K Symth. The film was shown with great positive feedback from critics. A few days after of finding out that it's been accepted at the London's film festival it was chosen to be screened at SXSW Film Festival in Austin, United States which again received great critic feedback. However, the next big thing to come his way, was when the film was selected out of thousand of entries to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival from 12th May till 23rd May 2010. The film has already caused a number of interests within the industry and a few Canadian TV Distributors who are looking to make it a project. Riley was cast by Title Role Productions to play one of the gang members that was never identified into the shooting of Rhys Jones which occurred in Liverpool, United Kingdom when he was shot in the neck by an 18-year-old youth, Sean Mercer. He played the part of Boy X who was told assigned to the gang by Mercer and told to get rid of the weapon that was used to shoot Jones aged 11. The documentary will air in late Autumn on ITV as well as the Crime & Investigation network and The History Channel. In June 2010 a few week prior to his 18th Birthday, he found out that the film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival had won an award. Plus, a few days later also found out that the film was to be screened at the Buxton Film Festival which is going to be receiving a commendation award. In summer 2010 before heading to University of Leeds, Riley will be going over to New York, United States and Los Angeles, United States to try and gain some professional acting advise as well as trying to promote to agents in the states his short film, Mess Hall. A recent interview with Jordan Alexander-Riley from the Manchester Evening News about the film being praised with excellence at Cannes stated “when I heard it was accepted into the Cannes Film Festival, I knew this would be the start of something and I'm just waiting for my big break” Theatre Jordan Alexander-Riley has attended Oldham Theatre Workshop, United Kingdom since a young age where he has previously put on some of the following shows; * A Taste of Honey * Oliver Twist * Billy Liar * Snow White * Blood Brothers * Blue Remembered Hills July 2010 he performed in a showcase called iRule which the logic story was about people suffering from schizophrenia and how it rules your life. Riley played a part of a young lad who's trying to overcome the illness of paranoid schizophrenia in which he was applauded for his portrayal of having the illness. Commercials In 2009 Riley was cast by Wieden & Kennedy to do a photoshoot for EA Games for FIFA 09 alongside Manchester United, Wayne Rooney. After finishing filming for the day, he went back to the hotel where he bumped into Peter Andre and David Guest where they ended up having dinner together and a general chat over the acting career.
