Jonathan Morin

Jonathan A. Morin (born 1970) is a mobile applications and game developer, with 20+ years of programming experience. His most notable works having been a developer on the popular Blizzard Entertainment Diablo I, II, & III.
Biography
Jonathan was born in 1970 in Santa Clara, California, the youngest of three children to Betty J. Morin and Clayton A. Morin. His mother a onetime school teacher turned house wife and his father an engineer at Applied Materials. He attended Pioneer High School and graduated in 1989. He attended San Jose State University for a few years, until the untimely death of his father.
In 1996, he started in the game industry at Blizzard North as a programmer. He was a programmer on Diablo, most notably working on the theme rooms for the game. He was also a Senior Programmer on Diablo II, where he worked on the items system, inventory system, graphics loading system, compositing system and various other systems for the game.
In 2004, he left "Blizzard North" to go live in the Philippines with his then fiance, now wife.
In 2005, after getting bored of not programming he co-founded FlipSide Games, Inc. in Manila, Philippines.
In 2006, he then came back to the US and had a brief stint at Monolith Productions. Unfortunately the weather was not agreeable to his wife, so he moved back to San Jose, California in 2007.
In 2007, he then met up with some of his fellow Blizzard North friends, "Michio Okamura" and "Eric Sexton", and was asked to be the Director of Technology for their newly formed company U.I. Pacific Games, Inc.
In 2008, he became the CTO of L5 Games, Inc., where he worked on an unreleased MMO based on the Ice Age IP.
In 2009, he became the CTO of Redbana US Corp., where he worked on "Hellgate: London" expansions.
In 2010, he became the Lead Engineer at MasherMedia, Inc., where he worked on the unreleased kids MMO, "My Mini Peeps".
In 2010, he joined Disney/"Tapulous", where he was the Lead Engineer for Riddim Ribbon, ClubWorld, as well as contributing to many other TapTap games.
In 2011, he joined Futurewei Technologies (a US subsidiary of China's Huawei, Inc.), where he was the Lead Engineer, prototyping and realizing next generation mobile UI/UX at their Santa Clara facility.
In 2012, he joined "JPMorgan Chase", where he is currently VP, Technology/Innovationeering Director, working on future mobile UI/UX prototypes at their Mobile Innovations Studio in Mountain View, California.
