Jonathan Hagey

Jonathan Hagey, , (born April 4, 1968 in Brantford, Ontario) is an Canadian television producer and writer who is best known as the co-creator of the seminal pop culture program Zero Avenue. His work was broadcast on the CBC.
Hagey co-authored, The Story that Wasn't: 'Reads' and the Comics Industry with Kim Thompson for The Comics Journal. This was the first article to critically examine comic book creator Dave Sim's views for misogyny presented in his comic book Cerebus.
Hagey is also a past Student Head of Divinity at Trinity College, Toronto where he graduated with a Master of Divinity (Honours) in May of 2011.
Hagey currently authors the blog Kingpin Chic, discussing men's clothing and dressing tips. Hagey coined the term, victrolacore on this blog to categorize music that features, "...the reuse of previous cultural expressions now considered quaint and old-fashioned."
Hagey is also the author of the computer programming book Programming Perl 5.0 CGI Web Pages for Microsoft Windows NT on Ziff Davis.
He is brother to cinematographer D. Gregor Hagey, grandson of MPP Henry Hagey and great-great-great grandson of Mennonite Bishop Joseph B. Hagey.
