Jonathan Dresel

Jonathan Dresel is an American drummer living Los Angeles. He has been the house drummer for ' since 2003 and is active in the LA Jazz, Smooth Jazz and Pop music scenes.
Early life
Dresel was born on October 3, 1967 in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Jonathan's parents were extremely supportive of his interest in drumming, and he had a strong role model in his older brother, Bernie Dresel
University of Miami
After graduating from high school in 1986 he enrolled in the University of Miami Frost School of Music to study Studio Music and Jazz. Jonathan was a member of the famed Concert Jazz Band (CJB), which has had countless famous musicians in the ranks from Ben Stivers, Bruce Hornsby, Darren Kramer, Andy Middleton, and hundreds more. Jonathan lived with famed keyboard player Ben Stivers, Tim Reisig, audio engineer for The Oprah Winfrey Show and an obscure, but nonetheless notable Jazz guitarist, Michael Katz. Jonathan graduated from UM in 1990 and is honored as an influential alumnus, along with other notable drummers such as Danny Gottlieb, John Molo and Graham Hawthorne. UM Drum Notable Grads
Jimmy Kimmel Live
Jonathan joined Cleto and the Cletones on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show in 2003 and continues as the principal drummer.
