Jonathan Culver

Jonathan Kindle Culver (born December 7th, 1984) is an American novelist, essayist, polymath, and anarchist.
He is mostly known as the author of the cult Tragicomedy/Transgressive fiction novel "Huey Lambert's Walking Nuclear Circus".
Life
Culver was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Bradford and Linette Culver. He would move frequently throughout the midwest, until his parents were divorced while he was in the third grade, at which point he would move in with his mother and new step father, Raymond Lester, in Bogard, Missouri.He had up to this point exhibited superior reading comprehension and artisitc talents to other children his age, but began having a deterioration in grades and attendence starting in the fourth grade, eventually barely passing the eighth grade at the heigt of his delinquency. His mother and step father would move him to the nearby town of Carrollton, Missouri while he was a Junior in high school. He would move out only two months after graduating, and spent the next few years alternating between homelessness and living with various friends, before he settled down, getting a job as a land surveyor and living in his dad's basement to help care for his epilepsy. After a year Jonathan would move out and eventually move to Marshall, Missouri with his fiancee, Samantha Harding. While there he would attend Missouri Valley College pursuing a degree in journalism. After one year he would drop out and return to Carrollton, shortly after marrying her and publishing his first novel, "Huey Lambert's Walking Nuclear Circus", around one month later.
Writings
Jonathan Culver has written one novel, Huey Lambert's Walking Nuclear Circus, which he published through the Lulu publishing company. The book enjoys a small cult following, particularly in his native Missouri, where it built fame due to word of mouth and a viral marketing campaign carried out via myspace.com amongst other websites. The novel has been sharply criticized for some for it's violence, obscenity and glorification of behavior not considered socially acceptable in mainstream society, as well as breaking gramatical conventions and containing purported "insensitivities" within some of the subject matter, mainly the idea of suicide bombing, as well as a scene that could be interpreted as rape. None the less, the book has enjoyed mostly favorable reviews, maintaining a 4/5 star customer rating average as of February, 2009.
He is also a member of the three man writers troupe "Tyrannosaurus Beat-Box" along with Kile Wilson and Clay Mistler, author of "Love Drunk Songs".
He recently (May, 2009) anounced that he is working on a book called "My Life With Dead People" which he describes as the story of a sympathetic necrophiliac, and that his previously planned title, "Pan", a modern day retelling of Peter Pan, is on indefinite hold.
Other activities
Jonathan Culver is a known vegetarian, anarchist and agnostic. He also occasionally participates in social actions, such as having led a protest to impeach President George W. Bush in 2007. He is also a vocal member of the CrimethINC writers bloc, and has stated that he is a discordian pope and member of the church of the subgenius.
Influences
Jonathan Culver has cited numerous influences on his writing and philosophy. He considers Robert Anton Wilson to be his greatest mentor and the biggest inflence of his life. His writing style features inspiration from the authors Chuck Palahniuk, William Shakespeare, Kurt Vonnegut, James Joyce, Anthony Burgess, William S. Borroughs, and Phillip K. Dick, amongst others.
