Jonah Mungoshi

Jonah Mungoshi (born April 2, 1968) is a Harare- based Success Coach, motivational speaker and Management Consultant. Through his company Success Unlimited (now Power of Purpose) Jonah has carried out consulting work for notable Zimbabwean companies and International Organizations.
Honors and awards
Mungoshi is a communicator who in 2002 finished third at the World Championship of Public Speaking in Texas, USA with a speech titled "Crazy". The world championship is held by Toastmasters International.
Other notable public speaking achievements by him include: Best Speaker in Africa 2002 & 2003 and Best Speaker outside North America 2002.
In September 2007 Mungoshi was honored by the Junior Chamber International with a "One of Ten Outstanding Young Zimbabweans" Award in the Personal Improvement/ Accomplishment Category
Guinness World Record Attempt
In April 2003 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Records public speaking record, Jonah delivered a 36 hour speech titled "None But Ourselves" at the 7 Arts Theater in Avondale, Harare.
Professional Experience
Prior to founding Success Unlimited, Mungoshi worked as the Deputy Director Marketing at CBZ, Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe the third largest bank in Zimbabwe. Prior to assuming this position he was the Head of Information Technology. In this role he was part of the management team that helped to turn around the fortunes of CBZ, which was born after the collapse of the local affiliate of Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI).
Before CBZ he worked at the Zimbabwe Development Bank, now known as the Infrastructure and Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) and Zimbabwe Alloys, a subsidiary of the Anglo American Corporation. Mungoshi has also worked as a part-time announcer/ DJ on Zimbabwe’s Radio One (now called Spot FM) and is the author of the book “Success Unlimited”.
Family
Mungoshi is a member of the Bahá'í Faith and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe. He is married to Chenai and they have three children.
