Jon Peniel

Jon Peniel is the author of . He has also published a number of other books:

* '
* [http://www.at-tantra-tantric-sex.com/ Sex and the Spiritual Guy (or Woman)]
* [http://www.atlantis.to/books/Aliens-and-UFO.htm The Ancient Teachings of Atlantis on and my personal experiences with, aliens and UFO's (3 part series)].
* '
* Life Control, Life Enhancement (Note: Jon Peniel used a different pseudonym, C. Elliot Hilton, for this book, published in 1984)

Jon Peniel is a psuedonym given to him by his "spiritual teacher" (as he stated in a Jeff Rense interview). His real, legal name is not known.

In the LTA book he claims to have studied under a teacher named Zain, who he also affectionately referred to as "Father", in Tibet, where he achieved "Enlightenment" at age 21.

A recent book, The Source: The Untold Story of Father Yod, Ya Ho Wa 13, and The Source Family, states they believe that one of their members, "Zoroaster" (a great guitar player, by the way) used Source Family history as the basis for the Lost Teachings of Atlantis Book. There is also a two and a half hour documentary DVD describing Jim Baker. Both book and DVD are available from Amazon.com, and released in 2007.

It is not known if Peniel is connected to Elbert Benjamine who was also known as C.C. Zain. Jon Peniel has stated that C.C. Zain is the author of the Sacred Tarot (published in the 1920's by the "Brotherhood of Light") but said that C.C. Zain was *not* the Zain he spoke of in the LTA book. Peniel HAS stated that Eugene Ferson (author of Science of Being) was Zain's "true spiritual teacher", which conflicts with the Source Family's claims about Jim Baker.

Music
Jon Peniel is said to have played with some of the greatest musicians in the world. Unfortunately, there is no proof of this available to the public since no one knows Peniel's true identity. He has supposedly worked with the following bands / individuals:

* Elton John: Jon Peniel is playing guitar in the original studio version of "Candle in the Wind". He happened to be in the studio at the time and Elton asked him to play the guitar part.
* The Beatles / John Lennon: Jon Peniel worked on a number of Beatles/John Lennon songs and is probably best known for his work on the song, "Imagine".
* Moody Blues: Jon Peniel worked "behind the scenes" on 6 albums.
* Neil Young: Jon Peniel met Neil Young at UCLA while doing sleep research and continues to play with him on a leisurely basis to this day (in the Maui area).
* Geordie Hormel (deceased): Although not an accomplished musician by mainstream standards, Hormel (of Hormel meats) had a big influence on the music industry. Peniel, a friend of Hormel's, would frequent his mansion for collaborative music playing (especially piano, which Hormel loved).
