John Renesch

John Renesch is a futurist and author.
Biography
Renesch was a former business entrepreneur and CEO until the mid-1970s. His early years as an entrepreneur involved motorsports, including seven years as producer of the International Sport Cycle Exposition in San Francisco and various other events including auto and motorcycle races. His other businesses included an advertising agency (late 1960s/early 1970s), co-founding Highsmith Investments in Real Estate, Inc. which specialized in forming limited partnerships in the late 1970s, serving as founding President of Realty Repurchase, an NASD (now the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)) broker dealer which specialized in the secondary market of limited partnership interests.
He became a Founding Trustee of the World Business Academy in the late 1980s, and was awarded their first Willis Harman Award as a member in early 1990. He was subsequently asked to serve as its Managing Director, a position he held from mid-1990 to early 1992. From 1990 to 1997, he served as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of New Leaders Press, dedicated to publishing business books and the bi-monthly periodical The New Leaders. He edited twelve anthologies on the subject of business and transformation in addition to publishing his own books.
In 2000, he co-founded the Presidio Dialogues and hosted their monthly public gatherings until he turned it over to the Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center at the beginning of 2005.
