John "The Jam Man" Decyk, (born June 19th 1985, is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Starting at the age of 12 John was a student of the arts until an accident rendered him near paralysis at the age of 16. Six months in rehab and intense training led him to the function of his right leg again and by this time he had started fighting almost every other week, leading to his record at his age. Biography John is a member of the Decyk Family dating back to the time of the Cossacks. He is the son of William and Karen Decyk and has an older brother named William and an older sister named Heather and a younger sister named Brittany. He has been an MMA Fighter for over 6 years. He holds a record of 57/5/2 and is currently a 4 time National Heavyweight Champion, 1 time National Light Heavyweight Champion and a Former United States National Champion. The Jam Man has fought against MMA Fighters on the east coast and to date is passing his knowledge onto new fighters. John was also a Professional Wrestler and had completed training at the age of 19. Injury When John was 16 and living in Brooklyn it was due to a street fight that led to a 4 inch blade being placed into the Ligament of the right knee. After receiving a minor surgery to repair the injury John along with his Trainer Micahel Wright and mentor Royce Gracie began a six month journey to be able to walk again. After ten hours per day six days a week in the gym to rebuild the lost muscle he was finely cleared to be able to start his MMA Career. I have done Professional Wrestling, iv also been a Referee and a Manager, Professional Mixed Martial Arts teach and fight, Firefighting, EMS, Race, Owned a Garage, My own House, Football, Baseball, Basketball, all in 22 years! Some people can't say they have done half the things I have when they are in there 50's. I am not as lean, Still as mean, and ready to go at a moment's notice. I consider myself to be the old man of most groups but I dont ask for your respect I command respect, Iv earned it from the top dogs in almost everything iv done in life. To date I am still a student planning on takeing some more courses and getting it out of the way. Recently iv returned to the House of Pain in beautiful Downtown Hagerstown MD that place is like home for me.
