John Brigden

John F. Brigden is an American businessman who is the Senior Vice President of Software Strategy & Operations at Cisco. His team is responsible for driving the company's software offer framework, structure and licensing models as well as enterprise digital solutions.
Prior to joining Cisco, Brigden was Senior Vice President of Enterprise Strategy, Verticals and Public Sector at Symantec. Brigden also acted as General Manager for Symantec's European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business from April 2006 though January 2013. Prior to assuming responsibility for Symantec's EMEA business, Brigden was SVP and General Counsel following the merger with VERITAS Software Corporation in July 2005. Prior to the merger, Brigden was Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of VERITAS Software from May 2001 until the merger in 2005.
Brigden joined VERITAS from Shutterfly, an online digital photography and imaging company, where he was responsible for Business Development/Sales, Corporate Administration, and Legal Matters.
