John B. Andelin (born 1951) is an American sculptor and a board certified pathologist. He is primarily known for full scale marble works but more recently as a relief artist for physical bitcoin bullion through Alitin Mint. His first numismatic relief work is a 2 oz silver portrait of Adam Smith, embedded with 2 bitcoins. He is also known for having created a replica of a relief panel from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, currently on display at Arlington National Cemetery. Andelin is the son of the author Helen Andelin. He earned a medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Andelin and his wife Cindy are the parents of seven children. Also, among the works by Andelin are a nine-foot statue of George H. W. Bush on display at the University of New England and a statue of Joseph Smith at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Andelin also authored the book Evolution: Mask of Science (ASIN: B00PL7WOQK) which was released in 2015.
