Joey Yap is an international Speaker & Consultant, best selling Author and TV personality in Chinese Metaphysics.
Early life
US-born and Malaysian-bred, Joey pursued an Accounting degree at the Curtin University of Technology in Australia. They say that authentic talent and passion for one’s lifework will tend to announce itself early in life. Based on Mastery Academy’s website, his initial ventures into the veiled chambers of the thousands-year old world of Chinese Metaphysics began when he was 15. The rest, as they also say, is history, and he has never looked back.
Career
A mind gifted in dealing with numbers, Joey marked himself out as a consummate professional in Feng Shui practice early on. This can be attributed to his respect for the methods and calculations in the classical texts, and his single-minded focus on combining the wisdom of the old with the ingenuity of the new. Incorporating a practice that has been around from the time of Imperial China with innovative and creative use of technology, he has succeeded in dusting the cobwebs off from what many consider to be an archaic discipline and injected it with much needed verve, energy, and relevance to modern-day living.

As Chief Consultant of Yap Global Consulting and Master Trainer of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics , or simply the writer and creator of his books, software, and educational tools, Joey’s respect and belief in this ancient discipline never wavers or falters. It’s this single-mindedness that has marked him out as a practitioner and educator of quality, and why people keep coming back to him, over and over again. It’s also this focus that has enabled him to harness some of the best minds in the industry to collectively tap into their resources as consultants and teachers based at the head office in Kuala Lumpur, and in numerous countries across the globe.
