Joel D. Wallach

Joel D. Wallach (born in St. Louis County, Missouri on June 4, 1940) is an American veterinarian and naturopath. He is known, and has been criticized, for his stance on nutritional supplements and other health claims.
Criticism
Critics such as research scientist James Pontolillo are skeptical of Wallach's claims and research. Pontolillo's article criticizes many claims made by Wallach, such as Wallach's claim that calcium deficiency causes Bell's Palsy - traditionally known to be a form of cranial nerve paralysis. His article also states that Wallach's other claims are not supported by clinical research, and argues that colloidal products may present a potential harm.
