Joeball

Joeball is a game that is a mix of American football and rugby. This is an emerging sport, which fuses the similar sports of American football and rugby with a rugby ball being used, but players passing the ball as a quaterback would in football. The goal of the game is to pass the ball to a player who will choose to either kick, pass or run with the ball and eventually enter the endzone at the end of the pitch to score a 'joedown'. Unlike football there are no limits to how many times a team can pass the ball forward and there are no offside rules. An attacking player can be stopped by a defensive opponent by being smothered until they say the word 'kendo'. If this happens, the game is restarted, as in American football, with a snap - or 'hike' - to a player standing behind. Other rules include the English not being allowed to score and so are primarily used as blockers or runners to distribute the ball.
