Joe Mohney

Joseph William Mohney (born September 7, 1995), is an American rapper from suburban Detroit, Michigan better known by his stage name of Joe Mohney. He began his creation of music near the age of 13 and released many projects until he distributed his Debut Mixtape "Static Sounds" on November 22nd, 2013 to critical acclaim . He grasped a Distribution Deal through RED Distribution and plans his debut release for early 2014.
Early life
Joseph Mohney was born on September 7th, 1995 to his mother, Ann Mohney and father, Glenn Mohney at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. His mother was a nurse during his childhood and his father was in the military as well as working as a firefighter. His family moved around the metro-Detroit area until he was about 2 years old, when they settled in Troy, Michigan . He was the average type of child for his age, constantly involved in sports and interactions with his peers. During elementary school, Joe's mother accounts many instances that had shown Joe would progress into the musical field. He taught himself to play both guitar and drums, as well as bass guitar by the age of 12. He would sit and rewrite lyrics to his favorite bands music, and these were the initial experiences that taught him what it was he wanted to do in terms of musical expansion and progression. It was not until the age of 13 that he discovered his interest in the world of Hip-Hop.
Career
2008-2012: Musical Exploration
Joe became interested in Hip-Hop around the age of 13 when introduced by a close childhood friend Alec Aretakis. They created their first song together and it inspired him to continue a career and chase what it was that he saw available within the music business. He experimented with several different sounds and continually progressed over the years releasing small projects and gaining a few fans along the way. It was not until 2013 that his professional career began after his debut mixtape release.
2013-Current: Senior Year
The summer before his Senior Year was spent working on his intended debut mixtape "Static Sounds". This Mixtape had more time put into then all of his other releases combined, and represented a brand new style for him. It was during this time that Joe was contacted by a private talent firm that decided to give him their attention and help him grasp his Distribution Deal with RED Distribution as well as continue to assist him throughout the early stages of his professional career. Joe gladly accepted the offer, and is currently in the process of creating his debut single for distribution, radio, television, and all media outlets. "Static Sounds" was released on November 22nd, 2013 to an extensive amount of critical acclaim and buzz on various music sites and several professionals that came across him through his extensive work done with his SEO over the years. He has been referred to as a very prosperous Marketing Director due to his success being solely completed by him .

Joe Mohney includes Eminem, Mac Miller, , Dr Dre, and Wiz Khalifa as his main influences throughout his upbringing in the music industry. His close musical partner Tevin Heard has always been a vital part to his music passion, and they are both beginning to gain ground in the professional industry.

Joe Mohney was always a unique individual, and expanding into music is no different. On top of his ever expanding Hip Hop career, he is an avid Producer of both hip hop and electronic music . He is also a very locally known performer for all types of events, playing primarily trap and electronic music with Hip Hop influences.
