Joe LaFratta

Joe LaFratta (real name Joeseph LaFratta) Born in August 1972 he was a Member of Bostons Organized Crime world for twenty plus years he is the son of the former leader of the largest illegal Mafia betting ring on the East Coast of the United States through the 70's and 80's who followed in his father's footsteps. He has a vast criminal record that includes embezzlement from Tufts University and Armed Robbery that dates back to when he was seventeen years old. In 2007 he was tried and convicted and received a six-year sentence for robbing now disgraced and disbarred Boston Attorney Christopher C. Rich for hundreds of thousands of dollars. It was later proven that LaFratta did not commit this crime through Massachusetts State Police wire taps of LaFratta's phone that were withheld from him during his trial.
After he learned they existed he proved he did not commit this crime and his conviction was overturned and all the charges dismissed. This was a crucial turning point in his life and he went on to write a book about his life, DIRTY MONEY, and has dedicated his life to educating people about the new face of Organized Crime which he describes as unscrupulous politicians and law enforcement.
