Jobtac is a Canadian online recruitment system that combines online job posting with talent management software. Whereas other online job sites typically focus on either advertising jobs (i.e. Monster, CareerBuilder) or on talent management (i.e. Taleo); Jobtac combines the two, allowing employers to do both in one central location. The company was founded in 2008 by CEO Satraj Bambra and co-founded by Zane Westmoreland. It was then launched in January 2009 and is primarily targeted and marketed in Canada. User Features *iapply: iapply is a term coined by Jobtac and refers to a quick-application process whereby job seekers can apply to jobs in minutes. Users to the site create one user profile, containing all items an employer needs to assess their appropriate skills when seeking employment, including: resumes, reference lists, portfolios, etc. *Multimedia Resumes: Multimedia resumes incorporate several different media forms (text, audio, graphics, animation, video and interactivity) to enhance traditional based text-resumes and can include visual resumes and video resumes. *Professional Network: Professional networking refers to a virtual community focused on professional interactions, helping professionals seek employment.
