Jimson Olufuye

Jimson Owodunni Olufuye (born December 16, 1966) is a Nigerian chief executive officer. Olufuye has more than 30 years experience in the national and global ICT industry.
He is the CEO of Kontemporary, a leading ICT solution company based in Abuja, Nigeria. He is also the founder of the concerned private sector-led and over 30-nation strong Africa ICT Alliance - AfICTA. He is currently the Chair of the Advisory Council of AfICTA, (2021 - ). He has distinguished himself at the United Nations Commission for Science and Technology for Development Working Group on Improvements to the Internet Governance Forum (2011-2012) and on the Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation on public policy matters pertaining to the Internet (2013-2014 & 2016-2018).
He was the ICT Consultant for the World Bank-Office of the Auditor General for the Federation, Nigeria (WB-OAuGF) Economic Reform and Governance Project 2012-2013. He thereafter continued to consult for the OAuGF.
He was formerly the vice-chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) and the president of the Information Technology (Industry) Association of Nigeria (ITAN). He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Business Action In Support of the Information Society (BASIS) and formerly the chair, finance and operations of the Business Constituency of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (BC-ICANN) (2014-2020).
He was also until 2012 the chair of the National IT Public-Private Forum - a peer review and development forum of IT administrators and CEOs in the Public and the Private sectors in Nigeria.
He has served on many Federal Government of Nigeria Committees including Y2K (1999), IT Think Tank (1999), IT Policy (2000 & 2008/2009), IT Harmonization (2004); and on the board of many companies.
Early life and education
Olufuye is a graduate of Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Lagos in 1988. In 2007, he was awarded a Ph.D. Business Administration(Strategic Management) by the Irish University Business School, Dublin. Olufuye is a PRINCE2 certified Project Management Professional, a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
