James Raymond Jersey (b July 6, 1989) Raised in Mount Prospect, IL Attended Lions Park Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High, Prospect High School, Harper Community College. Former Employee of Target and current employee of Home Depot as cart attendant and greeter. His future plans are to run for town Mayor in the 2012 Mount Prospect election, due is his vast experience in in the town as the town layabout. James Jersey is a Greek football player signed for the Cyprus team ASIL Lysi. Jersey was born in Athens and began playing football aged 4. He played for the Athens youth team Vrilisia F.C. for around 4 years before his family moved to the United States in 1998. In Chicago, he played with Green And White and joined the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) where he was recognised by Chicago Magic, the number one US boys' club. Jersey played as a starter for Magic and reached the US Youth Soccer National Championships final in Florida where they lost 1-0 to California's Arsenal F.C.. With the US ODP 1988's, he competed against the Brazilian team in Lloret de Mar, Spain in 2006. He was an all-state 4 year starter forward with Prospect High School's team, the Prospect Knights and scored 51 career goals. He was scouted by F.C. Koln in his senior year, but declined the offer in favour of remaining with his high school team. In 2006, he signed with Asil Lyssi, a second division team in Cyprus. James Jersey plans on moving back to the United States at the end of his contract with Cyprus to begin a long career in Major League Soccer.
