Jim Hershleder

Jim Hershleder is a director, cameraman, and screen writer.
After graduating NYU film school, he worked as a cameraman with master fashion photographer Arthur Elgort, and the music video directing team of Paula Grief & Peter Kagan.
As a director, Hershleder has created number #1 videos for the likes of Joan Jett, Bad Company, Martina McBride, Steve Earle and John Fogerty. In 1999 his video “Don’t Laugh At Me” for country singer Mark Wills, was nominated for a CMA video of the year.
He has written for Showtime’s “Going To California”, created by Scott Rosenberg, and has directed title sequences for the television series “Veronica Mars”, and “Californication”.
His feature film “Ash Tuesday”, starring Janeane Garofalo, Giancarlo Esposito, Jennifer Carpenter, Tony Goldwyn, Dov Davidoff and Pauley Perrette, premiered at the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival.
