Jesus Lifehouse

A bilingual church and business operation subsidiary to the concern Hillsong Church. Operates in Tokyo, Osaka and other cities in Japan. The organization organizes session every Sunday. Sessions are targeted at young single adults clients. Clients are predominantly asian single females.
Session Aesthetics
The sessions mimic a life session or a rock concert with very loud music. Musical performance consists on biblical rock music and gospel performed by volunteer members. Use of disco equipment such as power point, low light, laser beams, professional sound systems, mixing tables and smoke is common.
Use of Testimonials
Use of only male testimonials on stage is common. The prevailing message of testimonials is based on the before-after paradigm: Before: I was not embracing the church. "Was involved in many relationship with other women". I was unhappy. After: Embrace the church and found a stable relationship (in a female member pertaining to the church). I was happy. I love my relationship very much. "She is pretty". Audience arousal climax occurs when powerpoint displays images of married couples.
Income Sources
Main income source is the collection of money by means of an opaque felt bag. Clients are never explained how much money is collected for or how it is spent. Estimated membership is over the thousands. Average payment is JPY 1000 note bill. This compares cheaper than average price of a life session in Japan ranges from JPY 1000 to 3000.
