Jessie Spiess

Jessie Spiess was a Tin Pan Alley songwriter, who is well known for songs from World War I.
Career
In 1918, Spiess wrote the song I'm Goin' to Fight My Way Right Back to Carolina with Billy Baskette, which was performed by Van and Schenck for Columbia Records and the Kaufman Brothers for Okeh. The score was published in 1918 by McCarthy & Fisher, Inc. of New York, New York.
In October 1918, Spiess' Oui, oui, Marie (Wee wee Marie) was released by Yerkes Jazarimba Orchestra for Columbia.
