Jerry Neil Jones (November 8, 1937 in Marshall, Missouri - April 4, 2011 Columbia, Missouri) was a municipal government official from Sedalia, Missouri. In 1970, he was elected on the Republican ticket as Mayor of the City of Sedalia. He defeated Democrat candidate Palmer Nichols. In 1974, Jones was reelected in a landslide over Democrat candidate George Thompson, a member of the Sedalia Board of Education. In 1976, he resigned as Mayor to accept a promotion with his company which required him to relocate to Columbia, Missouri. Jones was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School.<ref name="SeDe" />
