Jeremy Aaron

Jeremy Aaron is a Brooklyn-based fiddler, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and organizer. He has released one full-length album, titled In The Magic Light. His songwriting mostly falls within the folk and jazz genres, and has been described as contemplative and poetic. As a songwriter, he draws inspiration from many artists including Tim Buckley, Joni Mitchell, and Woody Guthrie.
Career
Jeremy grew up in upstate NY learning Appalachian style fiddle and attending Jay Ungar's fiddle camp Ashokan. His professional career began as a guitarist, fiddler and singer in the upstate NY band Spuyten Duyvil. He is currently a guitarist and vocalist in the NYC-based rock band The Permanent Revolution. Jeremy is known as a concert organizer in the NYC area, mostly for creating and hosting the Greenwich Village Showcase at Caffe Vivaldi, which was a breeding ground for the NYC singer songwriter scene until Caffe Vivaldi closed. Jeremy's violin playing has appeared on the records of other NYC musicians, including Dark Tea, Kosi, Rowan Rain, and Gawain and The Green Knight. He played violin on Toronto native Phil Lewin's live album, "One Night in NYC."
