Jennifer Uchendu

Jennifer Uchendu is a Nigerian ecofeminist and sustainable development advocate. She is the founder of an online Nigerian making sustainabilityy, actionable and interesting for young Nigerians.
She was born 10 of August 1992 Uchendu lived her early days in lagos.She graduate from covenant university with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry.
She's the founder of a social enterprise called SustyVibes.
Early life
Born 10th of August,1992, Uchendu lived her early days in Lagos, where she attended primary and secondary school. She graduated from Covenant University with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry.
Advocacy
In 2016, Uchendu founded SustyVibes, a social enterprise making sustainability actionable for young people in Nigeria through projects, products and policies. SustyVibes was born out of the need to create a platform where Nigerian youths can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals through pop-cultural tools like music, photography, movies, tourism etc.
SustyVibes is a combination of Sustainable and Vibes which seeks to make sustainable development an interesting engagements for youths through an online platform where everyone can learn about sustainability news in Nigeria.
Since inception, the organization has trained over 2000 students from different schools and has a network of over 200 volunteers in Nigeria. SustyVibes organized a one-day workshop on "Youth Leading Sustainability" during the International Youth Day in Rivers State in 2016.
SustyVibes in partnership with the British High commission embarked on a community-based tree planting and climate advocacy project which was aimed to plant 5000 trees in Lagos and Abuja by April 2021.
On the 5th of December, 2020, the #Communitrees project commenced alongside an advocacy drive among community members. They planted indigenous trees in selected communities across Lagos and Abuja while stimulating both online and physical conversations on the pivotal role of tree planting in climate action.
