Jeff Bobo

Jeff Bobo (born 1969) is an award winning journalist, columnist, videographer, photographer, semi-professional stock car driver and occasional actor who appeared in the 2009 independent zombie horror film Broken Springs.
Jeff Bobo has been a reporter, columnist and Internet news videographer with the Kingsport Times-News in Kingsport, Tennessee since 1998 , and previously worked as News Editor at the Harlan Daily Enterprise in Harlan, Ky.; and as a general assignment reporter at the Kenosha News in Kenosha, Wis. He has a history of finding sensational stories which garner national attention and has the distinction of breaking five separate stories which have been picked up by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for use in the monologue or "small town news" segments since 1997 . His articles have been regularly picked up by Fox News, the Associated Press, CNN, and other national media, and his video reports have appeared on truTV , the SPEED Channel and the CBS Evening News.
As a stock car driver Bobo competed in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series at Kingsport Speedway and Lonesome Pine Raceway , earning seven feature wins (2001-2009) and second place track championship finishes in 2004 and 2007. He also competed at Bristol Motor Speedway twice including 2004 in the Pro Challenge series, finishing 20th; and 2008 in the Modified Series, finishing 18th.
