Jeaneen Carlino (born 1980) is a Los Angeles based Chicana visual artist known for her powerful depictions of courageous, divine women. Early life and education Jeaneen Carlino was born October 1, 1980, in Southern California with a primarily Chicano upbringing. Carlino's interest in art started at a young age due to her growing up in her grandmother's house to which she described as being a "museum adorned with Mexican, Native & Spanish art." Additionally, Carlino claims to have always felt that she had a knack for art and always envisioned herself becoming an artist one day. After earning a B.A. in Illustration from Art Center in 2007, Jeaneen Carlino worked as a commercial graphic designer for Trader Joe's.
