Jaye Mortualia

Jaye Mortualia (also known as "Jason Demise", "Jaye Demise" or "Jason Mortualia Demise") is an American musician and artist.

History

Jaye Mortualia first became active in the music industry as a male, under the name "Jason Demise" , playing in several punk / , hardcore punk,GothicAmericana and industrial acts previous to transitioning to being a transwoman.

"Jason Demise" was probably best known for the band Gravemist in which he played the upright bass and sang.

A rendition of Jason Demise (in male form) by British Gothic Romance / Restoration Punk artist Vlad Quigley appeared on a poster for a Dollhouse Days Are Over event at 93 Feet east in London's Brick Lane in January of 2007.

After coming out as transgender in the early 2000s, Jaye primarily continued her musical and artistic career focusing in the post-punk and industrial genres, specifically martial industrial, with her solo work under the name Jaye Mortualia and work with TÖD.
